"Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is His reward. As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man, so are children of the youth." Ps. 127:3-4 These verses are against what many people believe to be good or right. Children are a blessing not a curse or a problem...the pro-choice and planed parenthood groups would not agree with us on this point, (and probably many other points as well). God told Adam and Eve to be fruitful and multiply upon the earth; many today are seeking to keep from having children. There was one such insident mentioned in the Bible of which prevention from having children was cursed and God punished the man for this. (Gen. 38:9,10) God told Noah to replenish the earth and to mulitpy seed (children) upon the earth, no where in the entire scripture does the LORD say nor implies there to be a planned limiting of ones size of family.
Our children are such a blessing to us and with all of the time spent on training them as we are instructed we would not have it any other way. Children are an heritage of the LORD which tells me that they have a purpose to fulfill: (They must be intructed as to how to start to their fulfilling of God's purpose for them). How are they to be instructed? Who is going to instruct them? Who is qualified to instruct and train our children? Day cares? Public Schools? Other family members? If you gave birth to them then you are responsible for them and to raise them for the LORD.
